JEDBURGH - It has been about 20 years since there was ice in the Jedburgh Curling Rink.
But that has changed.
This winter, a dedicated group of volunteers decided it was time to once again bring the community together by flooding the ice to enable area residents to once again enjoy the game of curling.
Despite all the weather challenges, the ice was ready for an open cash bonspiel March 1 - 3 with 14 rinks participating.
Throughout the weekend, the curling rink was full of curlers and spectators as the community came out to watch some curling, eat some ‘rink burgers’ and do some visiting with neighbours and friends.
