Violet Agnes Zawyrucha October 7, 1932 August 6, 2015. The passing of Mrs. Violet Agnes (nee Pearson) Zawyrucha of Humboldt, SK, (and formerly of Viscount, SK), occurred at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt, on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Â
She was 82 years of age. Violet was born to Charles and Henrietta (nee Blackburn) Pearson at Milestone, SK. She grew up on the family farm near Wynyard, SK, and attended school in Wynyard. When she was 16 years of age, the family moved to Hazel Dell, SK. On January 15, 1955, Violet married the love of her life, Sam Zawyrucha in Preeceville. Together, they raised a family of seven children.
In 1957, the family moved to Madsen, ON, where Sam was employed as a station engineer at the gold mine. After ten years there, they returned to Saskatchewan and resided at Esterhazy for three years and then in 1969, relocated to Viscount. Gardening and preserving the fruits of their labour filled many enjoyable and gratifying hours for Violet and Sam.
Violet had always been an avid sports fan also; in her younger years she loved playing ball and in more recent years enjoyed curling. In 2009, Violet and Sam made a final move to Eastside Village in Humboldt. Â
On October 7, 2012, Sam passed away. Violet continued to reside at Eastside Village until the present. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Violet will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her seven children and 17 grandchildren: Percy (Gloria) Zawyrucha and family, David (Maisie), Lisa (Shane), and Rachelle (Dan); Agnes (Tom) Viczko and family, Jody and Gayle; Terry (Corinne) Zawyrucha and family, Justin (Deanna) and Kaylee (Jake); Deborah (Ron) Baschuk and family, Kim (Dan), Cory (Amanda), Kelly (Julie), and Kevin (Brittany); Brenda (Greg) Johb and family, Tammy (Kris), Jesse, and Joshua (Emily); Leslie Zawyrucha and daughter Sharissa (Ricardo); and Dale (Tara) Zawyrucha and family, Shelby and Shaelyn; 15 great-grandchildren: Cole, Corbin and Austin; Teysen and Evrytt; Aynslee and Blakely; Maddyx and Landyn; Hayden and Mila; Asher and Anna; and Christopher and Isabella; one sister, Alice Senger; five brothers: William Pearson, Avery (Phyllis) Pearson, Charlie (Thelma) Pearson, Gerald (Korla) Pearson, and Lee (Lil) Pearson; brotherinlaw, Nick (Lorraine) Zawerucha; sistersinlaw: Mary Enquist, Nettie Moskwa, Eva Zawerucha, Evelyn Zawyrucha, Madeline Zawyrucha, Verna Zawyrucha, Ann Zawyrucha, and Gayle Pearson; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Sam Zawyrucha; parents, Charles and Henrietta (nee Blackburn) Pearson; two brothers: Joe Pearson and Eddie Pearson; brothersinlaw: Tom Zawyrucha, Walter Zawyrucha, Mike Chornomitz, Harry Enquist, Paul Zawyrucha, Bill Zawyrucha, John Zawyrucha, Frank Moskwa, and Casper Senger; and by sistersinlaw: Anne Hopkins, Kate Chornomitz, and Anne Zawyrucha. The Funeral Service was held at SchulerLefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Al Hingley. Others taking part were: Shelby Zawyrucha and Shaelyn Zawyrucha, crossbearers; Tom Viczko and Gloria Zawyrucha, scripture readers; Tammy Miazga, intentions; and Greg Johb, eulogist. Urnbearers were Percy Zawyrucha, Terry Zawyrucha, Leslie Zawyrucha, and Dale Zawyrucha. Â
Honorary pallbearers were Agnes Viczko, Deborah Baschuk and Brenda Johb.
