Man sentenced to life in prison for murder in Margo

Brian McLeod received life in prison, with no chance of parole for twelve years, on one count of second-degree murder.

YORKTON - A Lloydminster man, who admitted to a murder and two assaults in Margo, has been sentenced.

In Yorkton Court of King’s Bench on March 12, 58-year-old Brian McLeod received life in prison, with no chance of parole for twelve years, on one count of second- degree murder.

On Christmas Eve, 2022, Wadena RCMP were called to Margo, where they found a woman and an infant, who were both injured, as well as a deceased woman at an adjacent home.

The deceased woman was identified as 51-year-old Sharon Littlewolfe, whom the suspect had been in a relationship with.

Brian McLeod was arrested in December 2022 after a series of assaults at three different homes. Wadena RCMP found an injured woman and baby at a home in Margo. As police investigated, they found Littlewolfe deceased at an adjacent home.
