Regina man charged in McLean robbery makes court appearance

A lone man entered the business, carrying an edged weapon, and took money from the cash register, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

FORT QU'APPELLE - A Regina man charged following an armed robbery in McLean over the weekend has made his first court appearance.

Just before 6:30 on Sept. 28, Indian Head RCMP were called out to a business on the 200-block of Main Street in McLean, where they say a lone man entered the business, carrying an edged weapon, and took money from the cash register, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

File Hills Police Service members assisting in the investigation located the vehicle, and arrested the driver.

Shahn Hunter, 53, appeared Sept. 30 in Fort Qu’Appelle, charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon and driving while prohibited. He remains in custody to appear again Sept. 3 in Regina.
