YORKTON – Royal Ford hosted a fundraiser for the Parkland Filipino-Canadian Association July 27.

Organizers told SaskToday.ca they raised $400 in two hours, funds that will go towards programs and events to help out members of the organization, including newcomers.

"It's something to give back and actually it's kind of fun for our team too," said Dwayne Takatch, general manager of Royal Ford.

"We get the opportunity to do something different. Whether it's decorating or organizing it's nice to have the activity out in the yard. It's a lot of fun for us too," added Takatch.

On the menu, which Royal Ford donated, were hamburgers, hot dogs, plant-based burgers and drinks.

Takatch said the dealership is open to helping anyone fund raise.

"We've been partnering with a lot of different groups. Anything from Paws and Claws and we raised some money for Ukraine several years ago too," said Takatch.

Coming up in September, for muscle car enthusiasts, Royal Ford will host their Mustang car show.
