Yorkton Crush hold tourney for young players

The Churchbridge Chargers won the U13 division and the Carnduff Cosmos topped the U11 division.

Yorkton Crush Softball League has experienced a steady increase in participation, with more than 170 girls registered.

YORKTON - The Yorkton Crush Softball held its second tournament of the season the June 22 weekend.

The event held at the York Lake Ball Diamonds was for teams in the U9/U11/U13 age categories.

The tournament built on what had been a very successful year for the Yorkton Crush Softball League which has experienced a steady increase in participation, with more than 170 girls registered. This growth is a clear indication of the program's success.

The U11 category had 11 teams competing, while the U13 category had eight teams. Additionally, there were eight teams in the U9 category. 

Teams came from all over including Saskatoon, Regina, Moosomin, Langenburg, Canora, Carnduff, Grenfell, Russell and Churchbridge.

The Churchbridge Chargers won the U13 division and the Carnduff Cosmos topped the U11 division.
