Yorkton Terriers off to hot SJHL start

YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers are off to a sizzling start to the SJHL season.

Friday the Terriers rolled into Humboldt and secured their third straight win to start the campaign.

Yorkton took control of this one early as Jaron Desnoyers scored his sixth in three games only 2:08 into the contest.

Goals by Jye Zawatsky and Riley Cormier made it 3-0 headed to the dressing room after 20-minutes of play.

The middle stanza saw the teams trade markers.

Rylan Hue put the home squad Broncos on the board 8:52 in.

But, a goal by Aiden Knutson at 14:12 re-established a three-goal lead headed to period three.

In the third the Terriers extended their lead to 5-1 when Tylan Henrikson scored at 12:10.

Tre Fouquette gave Bronco fans some hope making it a 5-2 contest at 12:58.

But an empty netter by David Coyle at 16:28 finalized a 6-2 Terrier win.
