Notice of Statutory Open House and Public Meeting

Town of Innisfil

Notice of Statutory Open House and Public Meeting for Proposed Community Planning Permit System (CPPS)

Take notice that on May 13th and May 21st, 2025, the Town of Innisfil will hold an open house and public meeting on its undertaking of a Community Planning Permit System.

The Town is undertaking a comprehensive study of its Zoning By-Law and Our Shores Community Planning Permit System. The intent is to better implement Our Place, the Town of Innisfil’s Official Plan, and replace the Town’s existing Zoning By-Law with a new town-wide CPPS. The first phase of the town-wide CPPS includes a draft CPP by-law for lands within Alcona and the OurShore Shoreline Permit Area.

The CPPS can be used to streamline the development approvals process and better address community needs by allowing zoning adjustments, minor variances, and detailed site plan applications to be processed as one application and approval process, instead of two or three separate processes.

The purpose of this open house and public meeting is to share information and consider public comments regarding the Draft Community Planning Permit (CPP) By-law. These comments will be further reviewed by staff before making a recommendation to Council for decision at a future meeting. Town staff will not be providing a recommendation to Council on this application at the meeting or open house.
