🎉 Today we celebrate 92 incredible years of the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association! 🎉
On April 28, 1933, a group of dedicated individuals gathered at Melville United Church in Fergus for the very first meeting of what was then called the Groves Hospital Women’s Auxiliary. Their mission: to support Groves Hospital through volunteering and fundraising.
92 years, $4.3 million raised, and hundreds of thousands of volunteer hours later, we are proud to carry on their legacy of compassion, commitment, and community care. 💙
How fitting that this milestone falls during National Volunteer Appreciation Week, a time to honour the heart and soul of GHVA: our volunteers. Thank you to every volunteer, past and present, for helping build this incredible history and impact!
