REGINA – A Regina man is facing 11 charges after a police investigation into a string of thefts in the Queen City.
Three of the incidents involved jewellery thefts, the first incident occurring on Feb. 18, 2022 at a business on the 4100 block of Alberta Street.
"A masked suspect entered the store, asked to see an expensive jewellery, then pointed a firearm and fled with the merchandise," said RPS in a media release. Police then learned the suspect tried to sell the stolen goods at a pawn shop a week later. He fled the scene, leaving the jewellery behind, which police confirmed was from the Feb. 18 theft.
The second robbery occurred March 7, 2022, when police were called to the 400 block of North Albert Street and the third incident three days later at a business on the 2900 block of Gordon Road.
Finally, a break and enter on Nov. 19, 2022 at a business on the 1800 block of Scarth Street ended with a glass front door damaged as well as merchandise stolen.
