Battlefords RCMP Gang Task Force arrest man following traffic stop

NORTH BATTLEFORD – The Battlefords RCMP Gang Task (GTF) Force seized drugs, recovered a stolen truck and arrested a 32-year-old man.

Adam Wright, of North Battleford, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of an imitation firearm for a dangerous purpose, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a firearm while prohibited.

Wright was arrested on July 13 after police officers, who were conducting proactive patrols, saw a vehicle being driven by a man known to have multiple outstanding warrants.  RCMP GTF members believed the vehicle was stolen and arrested the driver and three other occupants in the 900 block of 101 Street, in North Battleford. 

Police confirmed the truck had been previously reported stolen from a home in the 1100 block of 112 Street, North Battleford on July 7.

 Wright was arrested for his outstanding warrants and will also be appearing July 14 on charges of  being unlawfully in a dwelling house,

identity fraud, and failing to comply with release order.
