Court date set for pair accused in Regina's first murder of 2023

Police arrested Darien Toto and Anthony Sheepskin in the death of Patrick Badger.

REGINA – Two men charged in Regina’s first murder of 2023 will be returning to court next week.

Darien Toto, 25, and Peter Anthony Sheepskin, 46, both face charges of second-degree murder related to the Feb. 9 death of 36-year-old Patrick Badger. The pair are both set to appear in Regina Provincial Court on July 28, seeking legal representation while in custody.

The charges stem from a call to the 600 block of Garnet Street just before noon on Feb. 9. Emergency crews attended initially for an overdose, but EMS pronounced Badger as deceased at the scene.

From police investigation, Sheepskin and Toto were suspected as being involved and arrested.

Toto is also appearing on a number of unrelated matters, including charges of aggravated assault, robbery, resist arrest, and a number of failure to comply with conditions.
