Fort Qu'Appelle business victim of break, enter and theft

Incident occurred between June 25 and 26, police say.

FORT QU’APPELLE – A late-June break and enter in a Fort Qu’Appelle business is still being investigated by police.

The business on Broadway Street was the site of a break in by an unknown person sometime during the evening of June 25 or morning of June 26.

“The suspect is believed to be a male in his 30s to 40s, approximately 5’10” and 175 lbs, with collar-length hair,” said RCMP in a media release. “He was believed to be wearing a Pittsburgh Penguins hat, black jacket, and blue jeans.”

RCMP believe the man was travelling on foot, and might be local to the Fort Qu’Appelle area.

“The building was damaged during the break-in,” RCMP said. “The business reported a significant number of cigarettes were stolen.”

The investigation continues, including review of video surveilance and following up on tips received.

Anyone with information that could assist this investigation can contact Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP at (306) 332-2222 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
