Increased officers at Regina school after threats made

Tech crews worked to asses credibility of the threats, police say.

REGINA – There were more School Resource Officers at Sheldon Williams Collegiate today after an online threat was received.

"The increased police presence was in response to an online threat made yesterday, towards those who attend and work at the school," said RPS in a media release.

Fortunately, police found no threat to students or staff.

"Investigators in the RPS Tech Crimes Unit worked overnight and throughout today to assess the credibility of the threats," RPS said. "The threats were unsubstantiated."

The SROs stayed at the school for the rest of today as a precaution.
