PRINCE ALBERT – The man accused of second-degree murder in connection to the death of an Arby’s restaurant employee has been requested to appear in court by the provincial court judge.
Rajdeepsinh Bihola, 25, is out on bail. On Wednesday, the judge has requested Bihola to appear in person at Provincial Court in Prince Albert, Sask. 9:30 a.m. Oct. 31.
On May 18, 2022, Prince Albert Police Service [PAPS] responded to an incident involving a vehicle striking a pedestrian around 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the Arby’s restaurant in the Cornerstone shopping district.
Police arrested Bihola in connection to the incident and charged him with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon for crimes against Allen Andres, 31. Upon further investigation, the charges against Bihola were upgraded to second-degree murder following Andres' death in hospital May 27, 2022.
Allen Andres wife, Maryrose Andres, says the couple moved to Prince Albert in 2018, with their two daughters. Allen Andres was the assistant manager at the Arby’s restaurant, and both Maryrose and Allen Andres were working at the restaurant at the time of the incident.
The family says Andres had several injuries, among them a severe head injury, a broken leg. He was in a coma for eight days and died on May 27, 2022.
Bihola's lawyer previously stated in court that he has no prior criminal record.
