Moose Jaw RCMP investigating human remains located in rural area

Investigators don't believe the death to be suspicious. The investigation will consider historical missing persons in the area.

MOOSE JAW – Human remains have been found in a rural area northeast of Moose Jaw and investigators say the remains have been there for 10 years or longer.

At this time, investigators do not believe the death was suspicious in nature. The individual hasn’t yet been identified.

Moose Jaw RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Historical Case Unit will continue searches in the rural area northeast of Moose Jaw. Residents may notice an increased police presence.

On April 28, at approximately 2:20 p.m., Moose Jaw RCMP had received the report of human remains.

This investigation, which will consider historical missing persons in the area, is ongoing and an update will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
