NORTH BATTLEFORD – RCMP are investigating the death of 32-year-old Kaylee Crookedneck from Ministikwan Lake Cree Nation Friday as a homicide.
On June 16, shortly after 11 p.m., North Battleford RCMP responded to a report of an injured person located outside a home on the 1400 block of 114th Street in North Battleford. RCMP officers arrived and provided initial medical assistance prior to EMS arrival. Crookedneck was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police say they are releasing Crookedneck’s identity to assist their ongoing investigation. This investigation involves experts and assistance from Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes, North Battleford RCMP Detachment, North Battleford Municipal and Provincial RCMP General Investigation Sections, Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
