Onion Lake RCMP investigate armed car jacking, search for three people

ONION LAKE – RCMP are searching for three suspects in an armed car-jacking on Onion Lake First Nation.

Police say that at about 8 a.m. on April 17, Onion Lake RCMP received a report of a robbery. Their investigation determined that two adults were travelling in a vehicle on Highway 797 on Onion Lake First Nation when four armed individuals, who were walking, approached them and forced them to stop their vehicle and get into the back seat. The victims were driven a short distance before they were dropped off.

The suspects fled in their vehicle. The victims didn’t report any physical injuries to police. The vehicle was recovered in Onion Lake later in the day.

As a result of investigation, Onion Lake RCMP have charged 40-year-old Wilson Tyler Mountain, 19-year-old Charlie Chief, and 27-year-old Alex Dillon, from Onion Lake with two counts robbery, two counts pointing a firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Warrants have been issued for their arrest and Onion Lake RCMP are actively working to locate them.

Wilson Tyler Mountain, also known as Tyler Mountain, is approximately five-foot-seven and 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Police are working to obtain a photo of Wilson Tyler Mountain.

Charlie Chief is approximately five-foot-four and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Police are working to obtain a photo of Charlie Chief.

Alex Dillon is five-foot-five and 185 pounds, with black hair and brown hair.

Onion Lake RCMP continue to work to identify the fourth suspect.
