SPIRITWOOD – A 19-year-old man has been charged with sexually assaulting a child under 10 at a home in Spiritwood.
On Nov. 7, Spiritwood RCMP arrested the man in relation to this investigation and charged him with sexual interference and sexual assault. He was known to the child.
He is scheduled to appear in Spiritwood court on Jan. 9, 2024.
Investigators say they are aware that the accused has previously worked or lived in environments where children were present.
Thorough and sensitive investigation into instances of sexual assault is an utmost priority for the Saskatchewan RCMP. As part of this investigation – and any other investigation into reports of sexual assaults against children or other vulnerable populations – Saskatchewan RCMP will work to determine if there are additional victims.
