RCMP WEST arrests released killer Shandon Chief

LOON LAKE – Shandon Chief – who was on parole from prison on a manslaughter charge – was located and arrested at a home in Loon Lake on Dec. 11 by Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST).

Chief was wanted by the Correctional Service of Canada for breaching his statutory release. He was convicted of the 2018 death of a 32-year-old woman on Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

Chief was taken to the Prince Albert Penitentiary.

Loon Lake RCMP assisted with the arrest.
