Saskatoon police break up fight, seize sawed-off shotgun

Morgan Frank Clearsky was arrested after Saskatoon Police Service were called to fight between a man and a woman at the intersection of Avenue P South and 20 Street West at about 2: 30 p.m. on March 31.

SASKATOON – A 21-year-old man is facing weapons-related charges after police broke up a fight in the city Friday. 

Morgan Frank Clearsky was arrested after Saskatoon Police Service got a report of a fight in progress between a man and a woman at the intersection of Avenue P South and 20 Street West at about 2: 30 p.m. on March 31.

Clearsky had outstanding warrants and when police searched him, they found a sawed-off shotgun inside a backpack.

Clearsky was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon knowing its possession is unauthorized, careless use/storage of a firearm, and breach of conditions.

He made his first appearance in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday.

The woman was released without charges.
