SASKATOON - Update, Nov. 28, 2024, 9:49 a.m.: Police are continuing requests for information following the city's 11th homicide in Saskatoon.
The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section says it's renewing its request for public assistance in a homicide investigation that began in June.
Shortly after 6 a.m. on June 12, police responded to a report of an injured person in the 400 block of Forrester Road. The 66-year-old man was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased. An autopsy confirmed him to be the victim of homicide.

Original post, Jun 12, 2024 4:05 p.m.: The Saskatoon Police Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are investigating following the city’s 11th homicide.
Just after 6 a.m. on June 12, police received a report of an injured man in the 400 block of Forrester Road. Arriving officers observed a man suffering from life-threatening injuries being attended to by paramedics. The 66-year-old man was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators in the Major Crime Section are asking residents living in the area of Hull Crescent (facing the school), Forrester Road, Olmstead Road, Cooper Way and Cooper Crescent to review any security cameras on their properties for signs of suspicious activity between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m. Residents are also asked to check their yards and disposal bins for discarded evidence that may be relevant to the investigation.
