Saskatoon police investigating city's second homicide of 2024

A 48-year-old man was shot and killed, say police.

SASKATOON – Saskatoon police Major Crime Section is investigating the city’s second homicide of 2024. A 48-year-old man was shot and killed.

At about 6:46 Saturday morning, patrol officers responded to a call of an injured man at a home in the 200 block of Avenue K North. A 21-year-old Saskatoon man was arrested and charged.

Police say the victim and the accused were known to each other.

The Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime and Forensic Identification sections continue to investigate.
