Update: Saskatoon police locate U-Haul in connection to homicide

SASKATOON – Update: The U-Haul truck investigators were searching for in connection with a homicide in the 600 block of Lisgar Avenue was located late Tuesday afternoon.

The Saskatoon. Police Service would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance.

Original story: Police are searching for a U-Haul truck they believe is connected to a homicide on Lisgar Ave. over the weekend in Saskatoon.

The 14-foot U-Haul truck has an Arizona license plate of AE05517. 

They have already arrested Chantal Lee McLaren and charged her with first-degree murder. The victim hasn't been identified yet. Saskatoon police say the identity of the deceased is pending an autopsy, which is scheduled for Tuesday.

Before police found the body inside the home, they shot a man while executing a search warrant in an aggravated assault investigation that involved firearms at the home. He is in hospital in stable condition.

SIRT is investigating the officer-involved shooting.
