SASKATOON — It has been announced by Saskatoon Police that the Saskatoon Police Service Major Crimes Section, in co-operation with the Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team, is investigating the death of Myles Sanderson, which occurred while in Saskatchewan RCMP custody on Sept. 7.
The province will be appointing two independent investigative observers.
According to their news release, the investigation is complex and there is no timeline for its anticipated completion. Once completed, investigative findings will be forwarded to the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General.
Myles Sanderson died Wednesday shortly after he was arrested by RCMP near Rosthern on Highway 11.
