SOUTHEY - The Southey RCMP are is requesting the public's help to locate 35-year-old Joel Campbell, a resident of the Standing Buffalo First Nation, who has been missing since Wednesday, April 5.
According to the authorities, Campbell has not been in contact with his family since Wednesday evening when he informed them that he was in the Southey area. It is unusual for him to be out of touch with his relatives for an extended period.
An investigation revealed that Joel received a ride from someone on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, and the police want to speak with the person who dropped him off to establish his whereabouts.
Joel Campbell is described as being five foot eight, 170 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. It is not known what he was wearing when he disappeared. He has ties to Fort Qu’appelle, but it is unclear whether he is currently in the community.
While Campbell is wanted for being unlawfully at large, the authorities are more concerned about his safety and want to confirm his wellbeing, particularly given that he has not been seen or heard from for several days. The public is urged not to approach him and to contact the police immediately if they spot him or have any information on his whereabouts.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Joel Campbell or anyone who gave him a ride on April 5 should contact Southey RCMP at 306-726-5230, 911, or 310-RCMP.
