NORTH BATTLEFORD – A warrant has been issued for a Lloydminster woman who failed to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Aug. 21.
Renelle Bugler, now 29, faces charges of possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, and 17 firearms-related offences.
The charges stem from March 2022, after Battlefords RCMP obtained a search warrant for a home on 33rd Street in Battleford following a call about unwanted people at the home. Officers found five people in the home and evidence of illegal drug activity. They seized four firearms, a significant amount of cash, and a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Adam Michael Morin, now 33, from Glaslyn, was also arrested and charged with nine firearms-related offences. He was released on bail and failed to appear in court earlier this year. A bench warrant has also been issued for his arrest.
The majority of charges against 38-year-old Sebastian George Sanderson from Saskatoon were withdrawn.
A fifth accused, 38-year-old Christopher Daniel Ludviksen from Glaslyn, was sentenced in May to 985 days in jail on drug trafficking and weapons-related charges. With 620 days credit for time served while waiting for trial, Ludviksen had 365 days left to serve.
