Humboldt Journal
The Humboldt Journal began publishing a newspaper the same year Saskatchewan became a province, in 1905. Robert Telfer was the first publisher, with the Telfer family following in his footsteps until 1994. It was then the Humboldt Journal was purchased by Prairie Publishing Ltd. The final evolution took place on March 1, 2005, Prairie Publishing was purchased by Glacier Ventures Inc. As of April 1, 2022, the paper is digital-only, hosted on SASKTODAY.ca.
East Central Recorder
The East Central Recorder serves Humboldt, Tisdale, Melfort, Nipawin and the surrounding rural communities. It was founded in 1906 by E.W Schell as the Tisdale Monitor. It was soon renamed the Carrot River Valley Recorder and then the Tisdale Recorder. The newspaper was purchased by Glacier Media in 2004. In 2019, the Tisdale Recorder merged with the East Central Trader, expanding the area it serves. As of April 1, 2022, the paper is digital-only, hosted on SASKTODAY.ca.
