CUMBERLAND - Gregory Seib is the Sask Party candidate for Cumberland constituency.

The constituency of Cumberland will have a new MLA after long time Saskatchewan NDP MLA Doyle Vermette did not seek re-election in 2024. 

Seib is currently the education coordinator for Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation Education Authority for Deschambault Lake. Seib completed his Bachelor of Education and taught in Prince Albert, Asquith and Deschambault Lake, as a teacher and Principal. 

Seib also completed a master’s degree of northen governance and development in 2016. Before working in education, he acquired his journeyman’s carpenter certificate and worked with his father in their family construction business for many years. 

Seib has volunteered and served on various community boards and committees such as the Deschambault Lake coop-management, RCMP police management board, church board, interagency committee, and northern sports culture & recreation district committee. 

Seib and his wife, Deborah, have managed a seasonal outfitting camp business for more than 15 years. He currently resides in Deschambault Lake with his wife of 37 years. They take great pride and joy supporting their parents, niece-daughter, granddaughter, nieces, nephews and extended family.  

Gregory is a proud member of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
