Matt (Mathias) Jacob Mehler August 4, 1927 - October 1, 2011 Matt Mehler passed away in Estevan, Sask. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Matt will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mildred, of Estevan; daughter, Brenda (Cecil Mantei), of Estevan and their children, Jesse (Jason) and their children, Lila and Cooper; son, Tyler (Elyse) and their son, Ryder; and Calay (Taylor); son, Leslie, of Regina, and his children, Jennalynd and Emmalee; son, Myron, of Estevan; son Jason (Chardina) and their children, Landon Mehler, Tanner Byers (Tiffany), Chris Byers (Jolene) and their children, Hailey, Kylee, Breanna and Kaiden; Kelsey Byers & Blaine Byers; son Chad Mehler, of Estevan; brother, Alphonse (Clara), of Estevan, and their children, Trudy, Don, Pam, Pat and Jerry; sister Rose, and her children, Marlene and Debbie; sister Frances, and her children, Cecilia, Denis, Lynn and Lyle; brother Edward, and his children, Monte, Curtis, Kent and Jeff; sister Dorothy (Paul Schlingmann) and their children, Kevin, Ken, Kim, Rob and Darren; sister Helen, and her children, Belinda, Glenda, Kelly and Drew; sister Violet (Mike Sehn) and their children, Brian, Carman, Jody, Janice and Calvin; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews and great, great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Margaret; grandson, Marlon Byers; nephew, Larry Miiller; and brothers-in-law, Joe Miiller, Ed Dame and Ted Piwowarczyk; sister-in-law, Eleanor Mehler. Prayers were held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Estevan, by Rev. Joel Rama. Interment followed in Souris Valley Memorial Gardens, Estevan. Those so wishing may make donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan in Matt's memory. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You We would like to thank our families, friends and neighbours for all their prayers, thoughtfulness and loving support.
