Cut Knife RCMP seeking information on death of pedestrian

On Nov. 24, RCMP received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 40, approximately two km east of Cut Knife.

CUT KNIFE — If you were travelling on Highway 40 east of Cut Knife between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Nov. 24, or have any other information related to a pedestrian fatality at that time, Cut Knife RCMP would like you to call them. Their number is 306-398-3500.

On Nov. 24 at approximately 8 p.m., Cut Knife RCMP received a report of a collision involving a pedestrian on Highway 40, approximately two kilometres east of Cut Knife.

Officers and EMS immediately responded and located an injured adult male. He was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a 26-year-old male from Ahtahkakoop First Nation. His family has been notified.

Initial investigation determined the male was struck by a vehicle. The driver and vehicle have not been located.

Cut Knife RCMP is asking the public for assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle involved.
