AG IN MOTION — Ag in Motion facilitates connections, innovations and opportunities within the agriculture industry. The 2023 farm show is no exception with the introduction of AgTech Alley and new exhibitors such as Loop Resource.

AgTech Alley is a collection of AgTech companies that share innovative technology and ideas for agriculture. These companies’ booths will be open throughout Ag in Motion so farmers can learn about great new ideas that they can put to work on the farm.

“By combining new technology with sustainable practices, AgTech innovations help farmers make informed decisions and improve productivity on their operations,” explains Rob O’Connor, Ag in Motion Show Director. “We are excited that Ag in Motion can provide several ways for farmers to interact with these startups.”

Loop Resource has an awesome community-focused idea: offer unsellable food from grocery stores to charity food programs (where possible) or make it available to farmers for livestock feed or farm compost. It’s a win-win sustainable solution that is good for the environment, connects communities, saves money and resources as well as supports food production. What could be better?

For farmers, this initiative reduces feed costs, diverts food and packaging from landfills, as well as makes livestock happy and healthy. Loop Resource also works to find local bio-energy solutions, such as bio-diesel products, cellulose to electricity and alternative solid fuel products. Currently, over 3,000 farmers are using this program across Canada and enjoying weekly pickups.

AgTech Alley provides an opportunity for both startups and farmers to connect. Startups can learn from farmers, get feedback and collaborate on finding solutions to challenges they are both facing.

To learn more, visit Loop Resource at Ag in Motion July 18-20, 2023, at AgTech Alley on 6th Street between Alberta and Saskatchewan Drives at Booth #AT1.
