Saskatoon police make arrest in city's 12th homicide of 2023

SASKATOON — Update Dec. 28: Investigators with the Major Crime Section have arrested and charged a 20-year-old Saskatoon woman with second-degree murder in relation to the Dec. 26 discovery of a 20-year-old deceased Saskatoon woman. Investigators believe the homicide occurred on Dec. 25.The two women were known to each other.

She is expected to appear in Provincial Court Friday morning.

Original post Dec. 26: Tuesday morning, Saskatoon Police responded to a report of death which, at this time, the death is considered suspicious.

At approximately 10:46 a.m., Dec. 26, patrol officers responded to a report of a deceased person near Jonathon Avenue and Malouf Road. They located a deceased female upon their arrival.

Investigators with the Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections are currently investigating. No further information is available at this time.
