Thieves take wiring, candles, rug from Moffat church

Theft occurred Christmas Eve or Day.

MOFFAT — On Dec. 25, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Indian Head RCMP received a report of a break-and-enter that occurred at a church in Moffat sometime between the afternoon of Dec. 24 and the evening of Dec. 25.

Investigation has determined that items in the building were damaged and wiring in the building had been cut out, including wiring to 240v heaters. Further investigation determined a 50-foot rug, a heating unit, an unknown number of candles and candle holders, and some bins were stolen from the building.

Indian Head RCMP continue to investigate.
