Weekend structure fire in North Battleford deemed arson

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.

NORTH BATTLEFORD — An early morning fire on Saturday that rendered a residential property a total loss has been deemed as “incendiary” or arson.

The findings were released Wednesday by the City of North Battleford following an investigation by officials with the North Battleford Fire Department and the Provincial Fire Marshall’s office.

The North Battleford Fire Department dispatched nine personnel and five units to the fire at 1342-103rd Street at 2:22 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9. All units and personnel were back in service at 6:50 a.m.

No injuries were reported as a result of the blaze. The matter has been referred to Battlefords RCMP for further investigation.
