Southend man declared deceased following two-vehicle collision

The investigation determined a truck and semi collided.

SOUTHEND - RCMP are investigating a fatal collision near Southend.

On Feb. 25 at approximately 9:25 a.m., Southend RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 102, approximately seven kilometres outside of Southend.

Officers responded along with local medical personnel. The investigation determined a truck and semi collided. An occupant of the truck was declared deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 31-year-old man from Southend. His family has been notified.

Two other adult male occupants in the truck were taken to a medical clinic for treatment of their injuries. Their injuries were described to police as non-life threatening.

The driver of the semi did not report injuries to police.

Southend RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
