Victim suffers serious injuries following assault in Red Wing

A 40-year-old man from Christopher Lake is charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement.

RED WING - A man is facing several charges following a serious assault in Red Wing, Sask.

On Sept. 29 at approximately 8:15 p.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a serious assault at a home in Red Wing.

Officers responded and located an injured man. He was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as serious in nature.

Investigation determined an altercation occurred between two men at a residence. As a result of the altercation, one man was seriously assaulted and forcibly confined. He was able to escape and get assistance.

As a result of investigation, on Oct. 1 at approximately 9:50 p.m., a man was arrested outside a home in Red Wing.

A 40-year-old man from Christopher Lake is charged with: aggravated assault; forcible confinement; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and unlawfully cause bodily harm.

The accused appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Oct. 1.
