Methamphetamine, firearms seized in drug raid at Little Pine

LITTLE PINE FIRST NATION - Cut Knife RCMP have charged one man following a drug investigation at residences on Little Pine First Nation. 

On Dec. 17 at approximately 6:30 a.m., Cut Knife RCMP executed search warrants at two homes on Little Pine First Nation as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

At the residences, officers located and seized a small amount of methamphetamine, two rifles, a rifle barrel, a BB gun, ammunition, and drug trafficking paraphernalia. Two adult males and an adult female were arrested at the scenes. The adult female and one of the adult males were later released without charges.

As a result of continued investigation, a 26-year-old man is charged with:

  • one count, possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine;
  • one count, fail to comply with probation order;
  • one count, weapons possession contrary to order;
  • one count, careless use of a firearm;
  • one count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
  • one count, possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized; and
  • one count, possession of restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without licence/registration.
