Photos and video: Victim of rare syndrome remembered in Battleford

A walk remembers a loved one and looks forward to research into rare condition.

BATTLEFORD — Chelsea Penley (see the video below) was one of the organizers of a walk held Sept. 17 in memory of Megan Burnett (Sept. 15, 1983 - Sept. 23, 2016) who passed away from a rare condition called amniotic fluid embolism syndrome during the birth of her second daughter. Organizers encourage donations to the Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation to fund research and support. The condition is usually fatal.
