Bjorkdale News: Four to graduate from Bjorkdale School

As well, Bjorkdale School took 10 athletes to NESSAC in Melfort, and eight of them finished fourth or better.

A couple of Bjorkdale students have made it to provincial track this year.

BJORKDALE — The Bjorkdale School is busy planning graduation. There are four students graduating this year: Joseph Alderman, Jaden Woulfe, Nolan Horn and Jared Reid.

Bjorkdale Graduation is set for June 10 at 3 p.m. at the Community Hall. Everyone is welcome to come celebrate the graduating class of 2023.

Bjorkdale School took 10 athletes to NESSAC in Melfort, and eight of them finished fourth or better. Fred K. finished fourth in PeeWee Boys shotput; James V finished fourth in Intermediate Boys javelin; Talon K. finished third in Bantam Boys hurdles and second in the 400 metre race; Gaby V. finished third in Bantam Girls 400 metre; Avey V. finished second in PeeWee Girls high jump; Daniellyn J finished third in Bantam Girls javelin, first in shotput and first in discus; and Grace M finished first in the Senior Girls 1,500 metre, and first in the 800 metre.

Daniellyn and Grace will represent NESSAC at the High School Provincial Meet this weekend in Saskatoon.

Elementary school track is in Star City this Friday June 2nd. All the students will get to attend this event.

The Village of Bjorkdale would like to remind everyone that the old landfill site is no longer in use. No garbage or debris should be taken out there and must go to the Tisdale regional landfill. Thank you for your co-operation.

Garden refuse, tree branches will be picked up every Monday and can be taken to the old landfill site. Only clean wood is allowed.

The Village of Bjorkdale has also conducted nuisance yard inspections and letters have been sent out for any infractions.

The Village of Bjorkdale would like to remind all dog owners that dogs are not permitted to run at large. Please keep your dogs on a leash, on a chain in a yard or in a fenced yard.
