BJORKDALE — Bjorkdale School hosted their annual school breakfast for families to come visit with their kids and teachers. It was a great turnout and the pancakes and sausage were excellent. Hats off to all the chefs in the school kitchen.
Local boy Brett Spedding participated at NESSAC Golf in Melfort on Monday, Sept. 12.
Brett placed third in the Northeast with a score of 80 to qualify to Provincials at Jackfish Lodge on Sept. 23 and 24. The top three golfers in the tournament were all from the Tisdale Middle & Secondary School with Bechard, O. taking first, Myrhe, B. – second place and Spedding winning bronze. Congrats to all and good luck at Provincials.
The Bjorkdale school cross-country team headed to Tisdale for a cross-country meet on Thursday Sept. 15. Coached by Penny Mohr, the kids will have a few more meets that they will compete in before the season is done.
PJ’s One Stop has been a staple in the community of Bjorkdale. Recently, owners Jim and Patti Majewski made the difficult decision and decided to put their business that they have ran for over 26 years for sale.
Little Valley Playschool starts Tuesday, Sept. 20 with three eager children to start their school year. Jaxton Berger, Willow Bzowy and Carter Goldsworthy will start the year off with Carol Tomyn teaching and Meta Fredrick as the spare teacher.
