Bjorkdale News: School athletes in cross-country provincials

The Bjorkdale School raised over $2,000 for the Terry Fox Run and the Village of Bjorkdale just installed 50 veteran banners at Memorial Park.

BJORKDALE — Two athletes from Bjorkdale School, Markuss Ivanos and Grace Mohr, were at provincial cross country running in Regina this last weekend.

Markuss Ivanos placed 82nd out of 106 in the junior boys category and Grace Mohr placed 55th out of 85 in Senior girls. Teacher Meghan Vecchio was the cross-country coach this year. 

The Bjorkdale School raised over $2,000 for the Terry Fox Run held on Friday, Sept. 29. All the school kids ran or walked the 5 km race and enjoyed the day.

The Village of Bjorkdale just installed 50 veteran banners at Memorial Park. They will hang until after Remembrance day. An additional six banners were ordered and put up at Memorial Park. 

The Village will have one final garden refuse pick up day on Monday, Oct. 30. Please have your garden refuse and branch's out front before 8 a.m. to ensure pick up.
