Holiday crafting at the Humboldt Gallery for Friends Festival Auction

Two holiday crafting sessions hosted by Michelle Peltier to help with art and craft auction items for the 25th Anniversary of the Friends Festival Auction.

HUMBOLDT – Michelle Peltier, craft expert will be hosting drop-in holiday crafting sessions at the Humboldt and District Gallery.

The Friends Festival Auction will be celebrating 25 years and the Humboldt & District Gallery is inviting the public to create and donate during craft days at the Gallery 

All the craft holiday sessions are free, and anyone can drop in. Participants can make one item to take home and one to donate to the Friends Festival Auction. 

Holiday tree card painting will run on Wednesday, Oct. 16 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Catherine Harrison, cultural programmer said, “One theme, endless design possibilities that will create festive holiday cards for friends and family and help raise funds for the Festival Auction.” 

Holiday decoration-making party will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Harrison said to come to the gallery to try your hand at creating beautiful dot-painted ornaments or making a festive rag wreath. Create one item to take home and one item to donate to the Friends Festival Auction.   

The Friends Festival Auction runs Nov. 14 to Dec. 5 at the Gallery. Harrison said donations of silent auction items will be gratefully accepted until Nov. 2.
