Police look for suspects after Ski-Doo, truck stolen

The Melfort RCMP are investigating two separate incidents of theft that occurred within the detachment area over the past couple of days.
MELFORT AREA - Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory Network are advising police are investigating some thefts from the Melfort RCMP detachment area.

Sometime during the day of Jan. 6, a snowmobile was stolen from a rural property near Crystal Springs. The suspect(s) entered a property and loaded a snowmobile that was on the property. The suspect vehicle then left the property and drove west towards Wakaw. The snowmobile was a 800 series Ski-Doo that was black with yellow accent markings. There was no licence plate attached to the snowmobile.

At about 8:50 pm on Jan. 6, a vehicle was stolen from a business located on the west side of Melfort. A black SUV was seen on video surveillance entering the property and a few minutes later, was seen leaving the property along with the stolen vehicle. The vehicle is a 1999 Chevy 3500 flat deck truck with Saskatchewan licence plate 462 NGD. The truck is white, has Co-Op decals on it and has a hydraulic lift on the back of it that is used to lift heavy items onto the flat deck.
