Two people die in two-vehicle collision near Yellow Creek

The investigation determined two SUVs collided.

YELLOW CREEK - Melfort RCMP are investigating a fatal collision that occurred near Yellow Creek.

On Dec. 3 at approximately 7:15 a.m., Melfort RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 41 near Yellow Creek.

Officers responded along with local EMS. The investigation determined two SUVs collided. The drivers of the SUVs were declared deceased at the scene by EMS. They have been identified as a 28-year-old man, from Birch Hills, and a 78-year-old man, from Melfort. Both of their families have been notified. Neither vehicle had passengers.

Melfort RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
