Basketball season hits the courts

We kicked off December right in Maidstone High School. Basketball season is in full swing. The senior boys and senior girls have both hosted two games. The boys have played good games, but lost against tough teams.

We kicked off December right in Maidstone High School. Basketball season is in full swing. The senior boys and senior girls have both hosted two games. The boys have played good games, but lost against tough teams. The senior girls' team is strong this year and has won both of their games. Both junior teams have also been doing well.

Last weekend the Leadership 30 class hosted the Golden Age Supper for the senior citizens of Maidstone. We would like to thank everyone who participated or supported our supper.

Drama is also well underway, as well as yearbook and book club. SADD is selling iPad raffle tickets. They are three for $10 and all proceeds will go towards the SADD Chapter. Please contact the school or a SADD member if you are interested.

Next week the SLC is holding a food drive. It will be a competition between juniors and seniors, and the one who donates the most will get popcorn and pop for our movie afternoon on the last day before Christmas Holidays. We hope to raise 1,000 non perishable food items. All the proceeds will be donated to families in need this holiday season.
