The upcoming week signals that start of the end for our basketball season. This weekend our senior boys will be hosting conferences. Teams that will be competing for the title include Lashburn, Big River, Macklin, Blaine Lake, Stobart and Minahik Waskahigan. Our senior girls will also be attending conferences in Luseland this weekend. Last week, our junior girls won their divisions and moved onto districts in Hilmond where they played their best but unfortunately did not place.

Our curling season is also coming to an end. Our senior curling teams will be playing their last games next week, and our junior curling team advanced to districts but did not place.

Next week our grad class will be playing their annual hockey game against the teachers at 7:30 p.m. March 12 at the Maidstone Hockey Arena. Everyone is welcome to come out and cheer us on.

This week our SADD chapter brought in Danae's Song. It was a powerful presentation on the effects of drinking and driving that was well-received by our school. Overall it has been a great week, and we would like to wish all of our teams good luck this weekend.
