More and more Christmas lights are seen to adorn the homes in the village. The Waseca Recreation Board and the village council jointly judge the decorations and will be making presentations to the winners.
Dec 6, a baby shower was held for Isobel Snell. She is now just over a month old. Friends and relatives gathered at the Waseca Community Centre for the event. Isobel was the recipient of some beautiful and useful gifts. Her mother thanked those present on behalf of Isobel.
Wednesday, the quilting club, as well as spending the day quilting, enjoyed a lunch time Christmas potluck. There was an abundance of food that was enjoyed by all. A novelty gift exchange was enjoyed as well.
Saturday saw the community centre busy again. The rink committee sponsored a tea and bake sale. The children especially enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus who presented each one with a small gift. The jolly fellow spent his time seated in an easy chair entertaining the children and their parents.
