EPM students attend Grade 8 leadership camp

This year, l'Association Jeunesse fransaskoise (AJF) organized a leadership camp, which was held at Redberry Camp Sept. 14 to 17.Seventy Grade 8 students from Bellevue, Regina, Moose Jaw, Saskatoon, North Battleford, Zénon Park, Vonda, Prince Albert and Gravelbourg participated in diverse workshops and information sessions about leadership, self esteem and confidence.One comment that was made was, "I have learned to be a positive leader and how to encourage others to have a positive self esteem."Keltye Blais and Joshua Fitzel of École Père Mercure of North Battleford both said, " It was an awesome experience."The leadership camp was a success and will return for the future Grade 8 students of the province next year. The Conseil des écoles fransaskoises (CÉF) will extend the program to accommodate Grade 9 and Grade 10 students. "We are proud to be raising confident young people to make a difference for a positive future."The AJF is a non-profit organization which works in the youth sector in French across Saskatchewan. The organization sets up French activities for young people aged between 14 and 25. It costs nothing to be a member. Its goal is to promote and provide young people of Saskatchewan fransaskoise culture through sports, cultural and leadership training.
