Spring bringing new workshops to Chapel Gallery

Spring is on its way and the galleries continue to be busy with a range of activities. The Chapel Gallery is hosting a number of workshops in the coming months.

Spring is on its way and the galleries continue to be busy with a range of activities. The Chapel Gallery is hosting a number of workshops in the coming months. Zach Hauser will be the feature artist for the Photographing Your Artwork workshop April 21, from 1 - 3:30 p.m. Hauser will show artists how to use proper lighting techniques to create quality photos of artwork. This free workshop is sponsored by the national arts group, CARFAC.

A beginners' mask-making workshop will be held Friday, May 4 through Sunday, May 6 at the Chapel Gallery. Karen Kowalski will facilitate this weekend workshop with participants creating their own masks. Registration fee is $150 for members and $200 for the general public. Materials are provided. The Allen Sapp Gallery is hosting a special celebration honouring lifetime volunteer Roger Giesbrecht. A luncheon will be held at the gallery April 12, from noon to 4 p.m. If you would like to participate or attend please contact Safira at [email protected].

The Chapel Gallery is located in the Don Ross Centre at 891 - 99th Street and is open from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
